The South Bay has become one of southern California's most desirable business and residential areas, increasingly attracting families to the area. However, educational resources in the region have not kept pace with growth. A group of civic-minded families from several South Bay communities has come together to create a non-profit, independent high school designed to:
Provide South Bay families with a high-quality learning environment which prepares students for higher education and for life.
Add value and strength to local education resources.
Help the region keep pace with its changing population and economic growth.
Assure that the South Bay continues to offer the resources needed to attract and retain strong community members.
Vistamar School opened in September 2005, following almost four years of research, planning, fund raising, and personnel recruitment. The founders are committed to creating one of the finest independent secondary schools in the nation.
