The Academic Commons is the current hub of the school. Students use the space like a library to do research, work on projects and meet with teachers.

Vistamar's Student Life Center is a unique space where students can work in study groups, eat lunch, do computer research or just hang out.

Nearly every Vistamar student is enrolled in a year-long art course and there are dedicated spaces for 2D Art (drawing and painting), 3D Art (ceramics and sculpture) and Media Art (digital photography, graphic design and video production) classes.

In the summer of 2006, Vistamar School added a practice space for volleyball and basketball.

Students may choose to eat lunch or spend their free time outside on the patio.
