ADMISSIONS - FINANCING YOUR VISTAMAR EDUCATION

Vistamar School provides a learning environment that emphasizes small classes, mentoring relationships between students and teachers, and a focus on the growth of the individual student. This philosophy of individualized education comes at a cost, and the tuition charged each student does not cover the full cost of instruction at Vistamar School. Vistamar raises funds each year to support our financial access program and also to bridge the gap between full tuition and the true cost of educating a Vistamar student.

Vistamar’s goal is to admit a well-qualified and diverse student body. Diversity is displayed in many forms, and we welcome students with a broad range of interests, talents, learning styles, ethnic backgrounds, and cultural histories—as well as students across a broad socio-economic range.

SOURCES OF FUNDING

A generous anonymous donation at the inception of Vistamar School continues giving each year. Our financial assistance endowment provides income every year for financial access grants to deserving students.

Named and anonymous funds from individuals and foundations provide one-year and four-year support for selected recipients.

A diverse student body is a priority for the Board of Trustees. Vistamar’s Founding Board established the principle that at least 12% of all tuition revenue would be set aside for financial access funding.
