The course is entirely project driven and begins with the basics of wiring circuits. This includes building circuits to turn on LED lights, make a light show, activate an alarm buzzer, illuminate an LCD display, etc. In addition to building these fun circuits, students get to write simple computer programs to control devices on their circuits. This means students learn to write codes to make devices do just about anything that they want. The course ends with a major engineering project where students design, build, and program a 4-Way Traffic Light Intersection System with an audible to alert pedestrians when and when not to cross a street.

We can answer these and many other sports questions by using math! The burgeoning field of sport analytics (think Moneyball) has revolutionized the management of sport teams in the past two decades. Come join this session to learn about the history and future of the field, how to use simple math to make important strategic sporting decisions, and most of all, to have fun!
