Admissions Events

Vistamar is still accepting applications for the 2021-2022 school year. Students applying during our Rolling Admissions phase are considered on a case-by-case basis. To receive updates about other events and helpful information, please submit an inquiry to join our distribution list, or reach out to to schedule a call. 

This admissions season, we had a robust series of virtual events to help families and students learn more about our school community. Please look through the "Past Virtual Events" section below to review recordings of some of our virtual offerings. There, you can find topic specific sessions on admissions, athletics, visual & performing arts, and mathematics.

Our campus is open! The Vistamar Admissions Office continues to host tours during the admissions season. We limit our tours to one family at a time for safety and to give you individualized attention.  Please note these health and safety guidelines when visiting:
  • Wear a mask at all times (indoors and outdoors).
  • Complete our HIPAA compliant health assessment (mobile app) prior to entering campus.
  • Your temperature will be checked via infrared camera when checking in. 
  • Maintain 3-6 ft. of social distancing.

Virtual Information Sessions & Events

All Things Admissions - Sept. 27  at 10AM and Oct. 12 at 6PM
This event will focus on the nuts and bolts of each of the 5 components of the application process. Families have the opportunity to hear from the Director of Admissions and the Admissions Team. This event is virtual.

Open House - Oct. 23 at 10AM - 12PM
Our October Open House is an online event. Our Open Houses provide prospective students and parents the opportunity to learn more about Vistamar's curriculum, faculty, administration, student life, college acceptances, athletics, extra curricular activities, and more. Current students will be available to share their stories and answer questions.

Past Admissions Events

An in depth discussion of Academics at Vistamar! We heard from Regan Galvan, Director of Teaching and Learning, about our curriculum and what makes Vistamar one of the finest independent secondary schools in the nation.

Life Planning Info Session
College planning at Vistamar is intentionally embedded in this broader context of Life Planning for our students. While much of the discussion was around college admissions focuses on "getting in", we reminded students that college is an important next step in a larger life plan.

Athletics Info Session
Learn more about Vistamar's fitness and athletic offerings. Our Athletic Department presented to prospective families on our interscholastic sports, inclusive non-cut policy, athletes that go on to play in college, and our robust fitness classes.

Intro to Vistamar
This was an opportunity for students and their families to receive an introduction on our wonderful school community. Topics that were covered included: academics, extracurricular offerings, Viking Commons (our new community space and commercial kitchen), and our intimate learning atmosphere.

Computer Science & Robotics Information Session
This 60 minute session took a deep dive into the Computer Science and Robotics programs at Vistamar. Families heard from Computer Science faculty as well as Student Ambassadors

VistaMath & Humanities Information Session
In this 60 minute session families had an opportunity to hear from Department chairs, VistaMath and Humanities Faculty, and the Head of School.

This 60 minute event featured the Visual & Performing Arts at Vistamar.
