Welcome from our Athletic Director

Vistamar Athletics offers 22 teams in 17 sports. Vistamar competes in the coastal league and has consistently earned playoff berths and has won 55 league championships. About 60% of the student body participates on a competitive team during any school year.

Individual athletes have earned scholarships and invitations to join collegiate athletic programs at these schools, among others: Stanford, Washington, UCLA, Notre Dame, LMU, Fordham, Brandeis, Middlebury, Duke, Tufts, Bucknell, MIT, University of Chicago, Occidental, Pepperdine, Dartmouth, SMU, South Carolina, and Utah.

Vistamar's athletics department provides a program of the highest standards of integrity and one that enhances the educational objectives of the institution for our student athletes. We promote the ideals of good sportsmanship, high standards, and fitness awareness, and support all participants as they work to reach their athletic potential. The School maintains an environment that values diversity and gender equity among participants, coaches, and staff members, and ensures that all students have access to our athletic programs.

Whether our students come to us with years of experience in a sport or no previous experience, we are committed to providing exceptional instruction so that our students grow and improve. Our coaching creates team experiences that are challenging, supportive, and participatory and student-athletes develop leadership skills, initiative and competitiveness. Vistamar works to make sure there is an appropriate team for every student who wants to participate.
