Athletics at Vistamar
Every Vistamar student will be required to maintain a healthy level of physical activity throughout the year. That requirement may be met by playing on a team, by participating in on campus fitness electives, or by doing an activity outside of school. Fitness electives are offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 3:45 - 4:45. Fencing and Surf are also offered on these days but in the morning. Tennis is offered on Tuesday and Thursday 4-5:30.
Outside Fitness has a 6 hour per week requirement. Examples of outside fitness are:
Working out with a club team without competing.
Dance classes taught by a dance professional.
Tennis or golf lessons taught by tennis or golf professionals.
Martial arts classes taught by a martial arts professional.
Each student must participate in 9 of the 12 trimesters, including one during senior year to meet the graduation requirement.
