Fitness Electives

Living a healthy and balanced life is a core value at Vistamar. 

We offer a variety of fitness options for those students who do not participate on an athletics team. Students can choose from these options:

  • Yoga
  • Pilates
  • Surf (fall and spring)
  • Fencing
  • Physical Prep
  • HIIT
  • Outside Fitness

These courses are scheduled either after school or during G-Block. They are designed to keep students active and moving to help them maintain an active lifestyle. 

Each student is required to take nine trimesters of fitness in order to meet the school's fitness graduation requirement. Vistamar also allows students to earn fitness credits outside of school. This option is reserved for students playing a club/travel sport or a sport that Vistamar does not offer. Those can include: martial arts, figure skating, equestrian or any other activity approved by the athletic department. If students decide to pursue this option, they must be in the activity for six hours per week throughout the trimester.
