Please join us on Thursday, Oct. 10 at 7 pm to hear author Alejandra Campoverdi speak about her experiences and her new memoir, First Gen. 

A nationally recognized women’s health advocate, author, and producer, Campoverdi will dive into her incredibly contrasting life experiences in this talk, including being a child on welfare, a gang member’s girlfriend, a Harvard graduate, a White House aide to President Obama, and a candidate for the United States Congress.

Examining her journey and the emotional toll of being a "First and Only," she'll delve into social mobility, generational inheritance, aspiration, and the true meaning of belonging.
