Congratulations, Class of 2021!

Seventy-seven graduates wore blue caps and gowns on Friday, June  4, 2021 as Vistamar School gathered for the Class of 2021’s graduation ceremony. Under a tent constructed in the parking lot for the occasion, each graduate took a celebratory processional across a red carpet to self-selected music.

The sacrifices made by the the graduating seniors in this extraordinary year were recognized by Head of School Chris Bright in his speech to the class. "These 77 truly amazing individuals have -- through an incredible force of will, determination, and commitment -- completed their high school career in the most inconvenient circumstances and now stand on the precipice of something entirely new...poised to bring their talents, their hopes and their lives into the future."

Vistamar's Student Services team created several events leading up to graduation to bring the class together and reinforce connections. Some of these events included a senior prom on Vistamar's patio, a senior sunset celebration at the beach, a catered senior breakfast, a senior retreat, and a night at Universal Studios. The evening before graduation, the seniors were celebrated at an event with their parents, guest speakers, and a slide show commemorating their four high school years. Speaking at this event, Assistant Head of School Jason Gregory noted the strength of this class. "I firmly believe that the resilience and courage you've needed to push through an unthinkable year has brought you to today. You are able to draw upon one another for strength and conviction as you emerge together as the class of 2021."

Members of the Class of 2021 were accepted into more than 130 schools across the US and abroad and will attend 58 colleges across the country and internationally.
