I am pleased to serve as the third Chair of the Vistamar School Board of Trustees in this, the School’s 13th year of operation. As I continue to strive to meet the incredibly high standards set by my predecessors, I am humbled by the confidence the Board has shown in me by re-electing me for yet another term. I look forward to working closely with Karen Eshoo in her final year as Vistamar's Head of School, and our Vice Chair, Kris Rone, as Vistamar heads further into its second decade.
Vistamar School has had continued success over the past several years in enrollment, college admissions, our Strategic Plan, and our recent campus expansion. Our goal in the coming years will be to build on that momentum and promote our success. Interest in Vistamar School is at an all-time high: we will be welcoming another large and high-performing 9th-grade class, as well as upper-grade transfer students. More importantly, we’ve been able to achieve this enrollment growth while maintaining a competitive and highly diverse student body.
One of the Board’s primary focuses this year will our search for our next Head of School. And, building on the first decade of exceptional support, our efforts continue to enable us to build on our pillars of diversity and inclusion.
And finally, we couldn’t be prouder of the amazing members of the class of 2017 who entrusted Vistamar with four years of their lives. We wish them luck as they launch toward some of the most selective schools in the country this fall. They are shining examples of our belief that a Vistamar education is second to none!
