Required Testing Information

Students who apply to Vistamar for grades 9 and 10 may take either the ISEE (Independent School Entrance Exam) or SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) standardized admission test. Admission tests must be completed between October 2018 and the last week of January 2019. Applicants to grades 11 may submit results from the PSAT (Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test) in lieu of the ISEE or SSAT. All students must submit either an ISEESSAT or PSAT result to Vistamar School.

All test results must come to Vistamar School directly from the testing company. We will not accept scores from an applicant’s family or consultant.

The standardized test results are just one factor we consider in gaining a clear academic picture of each applicant. Most students should not require any special preparation or tutoring.
