Student Leadership

Vistamar is pleased to offer our students the following leadership opportunities:

Peer Council

Members of the Peer Council meet weekly and are actively involved in supporting student morale on campus. They commit to ongoing training in mediation and intervention skills, take initiative in mediating disputes, and sponsor special programs throughout the year as needed.

Honor Council

The Honor Council serves to articulate and support our community norms of civility, integrity, and initiative. When there is a violation of a community norm, the Honor Council reviews the case in conjunction with the Dean of Students and recommends consequences to the Head of School. The Head of School ultimately decides what action, if any, will be taken.

Student Events & Activities Council

The Student Events & Activities Council, or S.E.A., organizes all-school events including dances, spirit days, and special assemblies throughout the year. In conjunction with other clubs on campus, the members of S.E.A. explore and develop new ways to build community.
